Mustang Music 5K
The Mustang Music 5K is a fundraiser to provide additional instruments, equipment, instruction and experiences for our wonderful Kinard music students.

LOCATION: Kinard Middle School
SCHEDULE:
9:00am 5K Race
10:15am Reverse Parade and Fun Run
5K DETAILS: The 5K features a chip-timed race designed to show the beauty of the neighborhoods by Kinard Middle School. Enjoy the music along the course provided by Kinard music students. Register before 9/15 to get your race packet & t-shirt before the race.
REVERSE PARADE/FUN RUN DETAILS (10 and younger): Perfect for children under 10 and non-runners, the Reverse Parade is a Fun Run in which participants will walk or run 2 laps around the Kinard track. Musical groups will surround the track providing music while the kids parade around them! Entry includes a short-sleeved tech t-shirt (parents of very young children are welcome to run with their child on the track).
Mustang Music ZEROK: Not a runner? Don't like mornings? Can't attend in person? Just want the shirt and to support the band? Well you can do this from home or even out-of-state by signing up for the ZEROK! This entry includes a shirt and all proceeds go to the band, but you don’t have to lift a foot!

About the Kinard Band
The goal of the 230 member Kinard Band is to provide a path to memorable music-making and experiences. The emotion and beauty of making music with friends and classmates is a powerful and necessary part of our humanity and something all school-aged children should experience!

The Kinard Band is known across the state for its high performance level and achievements. The Symphonic Band has performed at the Colorado Music Educator's Association Clinic five times and was even invited to perform alongside some of the best band programs in the country at the Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis, IN.
